Alisha, aged 22 from Burnley, visited Pall Mall to undergo breast augmentation surgery in July 2021.
Receiving her surgery confirmation was a big moment for Alisha: “I was so happy, I ran to my mum and screamed ‘it’s really happening’. I counted down the weeks and days until it was time for me to go to Pall Mall.”
Prior to her cosmetic surgery procedure Alisha struggled with her confidence. She was a late bloomer compared to her friends who were maturing faster than her. Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon Mr Krishnan shares some details about the procedure: “Breast augmentation is one of the most frequently requested cosmetic procedures in the UK. The surgery involves placing breast implants between the breast tissue and chest muscle or behind the chest muscle depending on the patient’s desired outcome.
“Lots of women choose to have this procedure to increase the fullness, size and shape of their breasts and to enhance their overall appearance. Some women are naturally flat chested and want bigger breasts, while others have lost volume from their breasts following pregnancy or weight loss.”
Speaking about her cosmetic surgery procedure Alisha said: “I wasn’t scared about the surgery, but I was nervous about the results.
“My outcome was better than I could have ever imagined! When I look at myself in the mirror now, I don’t see my breasts as a foreign object, I don’t feel like they don’t belong. I look at them now and see them as a part of who I am and I’m happy with that.
“I feel much more confident in my body and can now wear beautiful clothes that I only dreamt of wearing prior to surgery.”
