About
Dr Khan is a primary care physician with extensive experience in general medicine having graduated from medical school in 2009. He is trained in general practice having achieved UK CCT. Prior to this he has extensive experience in hospital medicine in different medical specialties.
He is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK and Physician Member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Dr Khan also practices as an Occupational Health Physician being a Diplomate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of London having completed post graduate courses in Occupational Medicine from the University of Manchester.
Dr Khan has further special interests in Travel Medicine and Aviation Medicine, being a Fellow of the Faculty of Travel Medicine, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow where he completed the diploma course in Travel Medicine and Post Graduate courses in Aviation Medicine from King's College London. He is also a Fellow of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine and Faculty of Travel Medicine of Australia.
Dr Khan is currently working as a Primary Care Physician/GP in the NHS and in the private sector and as a Travel and Occupational Health Physician. He has special interests in the field of medical leadership and medical education besides clinical medicine and has completed Health Education England's Post Graduate Module in Medical Leadership from Edge Hill University and Next Generation GP Emerging Leaders Programme. He is passionate about patient care providing highly quality care to his patients.
Dr Khan is a Member of the British Medical Association, Medical and Dental Defence Union of Scotland and Member of the International Society of Travel Medicine. Dr Khan currently holds some leadership positions such as First Five Co Chair of the Royal College of General Pracititoners' Northwest England Faculty, Regional Advisor Northwest England and International Advisor, Faculty of Travel Medicine, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Glasgow and Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners' International Medicine Graduates Working Group of the Northern Faculties.
